In 2023, the Environment Agency announced its intention to withdraw the WRAP Quality Protocol for Recycled Aggregate and replace it with a new Resource Framework. The draft “Aggregate from inert waste: Resource framework” is now open for public consultation.

The 12-week consultation closes on 8th January 2027, - now is the time to prepare.

Green Compass has anticipated the Resource Framework’s publication in early 2027, and we have developed the Green Compass Recycled Aggregate Scheme. The scheme should be approved by the Environment Agency and accredited by UKAS in the coming weeks.
